Old Dogs...

Imagine how long it took to clean that one up.

I actually asked Charlie to make an artwork for this one, and once again she's done an amazing job. You can find the original work here.

Next week, it's back to random humour once again-no story arcs for a while (I know Liam's gonna hate that one). I need to catch up with all the news that came from last weeks Gamescon and next week's Penny Arcade Expo (PAX). Additionally, I hope to work on some downloadable swag to go with TaG-wallpapers, more MSN avatars, whatnot. Here's hoping it works out this time around.

Compulsive Competition

Did I mention Inception was a good movie?

I get it, it's late. Again. And once again, I've forgotten the comic number...I've only been doing it since comic #51, I'm new to this ok?

Anyhoo, I've gone and added the first of some "downloads" to the blog, in the form of MSN avatars. I tried making them in bitmap form, but that got messy. Hense why these pictures-which I tried hard to draw rediculously small, but still needed resizing-ended up so pixellated.

Finally, this week's poll is dedicated to Allie's new hair streaks. If you like 'em, vote 'em up and they'll stay. If they remind you of Charlie's, say no.

Gameside Chat

Ah, so that's what that taste was...

Remember how I said "schedualling" would eliminate late comics?

...apparently not.

Rendezvous with-wait, what?

...and I came here expecting a chainsaw fight.

This is the first post I've been able to "schedual": Blogger allows me to set a date/time for a when the post is put up. Should make my workload significantly easier-maybe we'll be able to avoid what happened last week. Fingers crossed.

Not So Different, You and I

Don't worry, dear readers; that Sniper Rifle was loaded.

Several interesting morsels of gaming news coming in from Gamescon this week; F.E.A.R. 3 has been delayed 'till early next year (me and Allie cried in a corner).

Bungie released a new Halo Reach ViDoc:

And Resistance 3 has finally been revealed:

I've got way too much to do to write up comics for all of these. Have some videos instead.

Strange Dangers

Overprotective...or overzealous?

You might have noticed the sudden inclusion of backgrounds, textures and details to the TaG homestead...say, over the last few days.

Making the most of it

...guess what I've been doing instead of studying again? Next time, I'll be sure to put a convincing looking sky there instead.

As you may be able to gather from the school noticeboard, I have more exams this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday...which is then followed up by a ski trip Friday-Sunday. weren't expecting more comics then, were you?

...and good morning to you too.

The shock reveal of Bioshock Infinite-and by shocking, I mean in both timing and the reveal of the new sky city of Columbus-has obviously grabbed my attention during these ever-nagging exams.

And speaking of Allie's favorite games...Day 1 released a higher quality version of the F.E.A.R. 3 opening cinematic. Looks great: can tell how much study I do.

And yeah, you may have noticed that the comic now has a background...

Tuesday, August 10, 2010 weren't expecting a comic, were you?

Remember how I said I was a school student? Yeah, times are hitting hard.

See, we just so happen to have Trial HSC's right about now (coupled with the fact that I've got a cold as well...thanks a lot Jarrod) there really isn't a lot of time to write comics right about now. After August 18th, I'll have some spare time once more to draw comics, involving Apple-brand Sniper Rifles, Inception (again), pets, etc.

Geez, this must be really bad for my ever decreasing readership...hate mail in the comments section please. Heck, any comments will do. That "FAQs" section is looking really empty right about now.

The Universal Strategy may have figured by now that I'm not a fan of the RTS rush tactic.

2K revealed their new "Minerva's Den" expansion pack yesterday. Judging only by 2 pictures and a short article, it looks a lot more worthwhile then the "Protector Trials" were. Allie must be bounding across the room right about now...

EDIT: I forgot to mention, this comic was actually Mitchell Brook's idea. Probably should've put that in the credits...

It gets worse

My God, what is this amazing and exciting game the TAG trio are playing? Why, it looks like...

...oh wait, it's just Halo Wars. Never mind...

I worked with a new program for this comic, named GIMP (and no, don't get any ideas). As with any child learning to ride a new bike, I'm likely to make a few stumbles here and there (some of which you may have noticed in today's comic). Once I get the hang of this program, TAG should look like the shoddy 30 minute comic you're used to.

Old Faithful

Ah, the noble Zerg rush...hey, wait a sec...

Yeah, I know, I missed Friday's AND yesterday's comic. It's been a busy week.

And next week's going to be worse. Don't be surprised if I skip a few releases there too.

Anyhoo, I came really close to sticking a background on that last panel. As usual, technical issues got in the way, but nonetheless the technology's there (thank you Charlie and Anthony). Hopefully with some better time management, these comics will only get better from here.

Ah, and under normal circumstances, I would play as Zerg. This is not normal circumstances.
