Madre di un Assassino

So, yeah...I've been playing a fair bit of Assassin's Creed lately, as you can tell. I actually sketched up the Ezio costumed Daget a few weeks back, but never got 'round to showing it. Here's a full version:

I've updated Allie's character...I've updated Jarrod's character. So why not my own? I've of course created updated version(s) of my character...but there's a very good reason why I haven't added any new details to the character (refer to my Noble Actual trailer from earlier this month).

You may have noticed that this week's banner contains the words "CHRISTMAS HIATUS", complete with capitals and disappointment. Yes, that's right, I will not be posting over the Christmas holiday (since, as of Friday, I will be out of the state). I shall (presumably) make my return somewhere around the new year (since even I'm not 100% sure when I'll be back). So, see you after the Christmas break.

Their Word Is Law

You have no say in the matter.

There were some surprising award winners at this year's VGA's. I wanted Halo: Reach to win, but I secretly knew that Mass Effect 2 would win Game Of The Year.

Neither outcome occurred, and Red Dead Redemption took home the coveted prize (as well as Inside Gaming Award's Game Of The Year). No matter: Call of Duty: Black Ops won Best Shooter,  Halo: Reach won Best Multiplayer, and Mass Effect 2 won best RPG, so all three of us can be kept happy.

But the best bit of the VGA's was all the pretty new trailers and game reveals for next year: First up, an epic new trailer for Mass Effect 3:

Then, the debut of the new Elder Scrolls game:

On top of that, new videos for Batman: Arkham Asylum, Resistance 3Uncharted 3 and Prototype 2 (amongst plenty of others...not Gears of War 3 though...). A warning to all future roommates, family, landlords, psychiatrists etc. etc. etc.: I am a video gamer, and my year ahead is already planned out.

Finally, yes: I realise I didn't post on Friday, I was suffering from a case of Writer's Block.

What about (both of) you? What are your opinions on this year's VGAs? Do tell in the comments section.

My life, without a job or school to complicate it. Living the dream...

In the meantime, Visceral Games have released a triplicate of videos about the development of Dead Space 2. Since the blog only handles one video per post for some reason, here's one about Issac:

Just a few questions...

It's been a while, hasn't it? Thanks to the both of you that stayed loyal to the blog.

This comic pretty much sums up where I was on Thursday: auditioning for the Theatre course at Wollongong Uni.

I can tell you now, I crashed and burned.

Otherwise, I've been playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. IO PROPRIO ROMA! It's also very fun, and has plenty to do. It feels good now, having a little time to enjoy some video games again, even if fleetingly. Christmas is coming up, and comics probably won't be published then either.

Here's hoping I actually get to work on some comics now, eh? Here's a game: take a drink everytime I promise to publish a comic on time, and fail to do so!
