Delusions and Grandeur

I know...disappointing, isn't it?

I mean...only 15,000?

Anyhoo, I thought I'd try a few different things with this comic; whilst I usually draw a whole comic on half a sheet of A4 paper, this time the half-A4 was used for a single panel. This means that I can add a little extra detail onto each character. Then, the image size was reduced, rendering any extra detail moot. It also means the image size is smaller for you all.

That black outline around everything was actually a mistake-the result of reducing the image size. If anything ended up being an improvement. What do you think?

In video gaming news, the developers at Day 1Studios have announced that F.E.A.R. 3 is being delayed until May. I threw my laptop at the wall when I heard this news (probably not the smartest move I've ever made...), but considering some of the competition it's up against (Dragon Age 2 and Crysis 2, both releasing in March-Crysis 2 releasing on the exact same day as F.E.A.R. 3's original release date), this might not be so bad a move.

I've also been keeping track of a new game coming out this February called Bulletstorm...ever since I heard it came with the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta. To say the least, it's vulgar, obscene...and looks damn fun. It's one of those games I want to play, but know I'll be branded a sicko forever if I ever do. If you're offended easily by coarse language and innuendo (minus the subtlety), do yourself a favour and don't watch the trailer below.

And On The Hundredth Day...

That's right. We've done it.

100 comics.

...One hundred.

It's been a helluva journey, hasn't it? And over the last half-year, you've (both) put up with so much from me; delays, crappy drawings that never seem to get any better, and listening to my rants about games despite only having a gamerscore of only 15,000 (if I'm not at 15,000 gamerscore by today, you may pelt me with tomatoes). Nonetheless, comic 100 deserves something special...and some changes to be made, wouldn't you say?

Over the coming weeks, I'll be making some slight changes to the way I normally draw comics (which you'll hopefully see for yourselves), as well as how often I'll publish them. Here's what I'm thinking: I've done such a bad job of keeping on schedual over the last few months, that I thought; "why don't I just abolish the schedual system like the good ol' days? I mean, this guy seems to do well without, right?" I'm still going to aim for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so that's when to check.

And now, some special thanks.

To Charlotte: thanks for all the help over the last few months getting the comics up to scratch and helping promote the site, but moreso for putting up with me and my video games and for helping me with my university applications. Congrats on getting into your Media Arts course.

To Jarrod: For being such a great character in TAG, despite never having a say in it all. Plus for the support and (also) helping to promote the site on your Facebook account. Enjoy the gap year.

To Josh, Liam, Mitchell and Matt: For reading the comics those few times and (Mitchell and Matt) for adding your names to the blog's "The Devoted Fans" section. Best of luck with Uni for this year.

To Brad: For...trying to promote the site as well.

To "Life": ...for nothing. You suck.

And finally...remember a few weeks back when I presented that crappy "Noble Actual trailer" for an upcoming TAG comic series? That was originally destined for this blog post, but ultimately got moved up to said earlier post. So now, here's the cover art instead, minus titles:

Don't expect this to surface for some time yet though...aside from the fact that most of the comic still needs to be drawn up, it also needs a title.

Finally, tell me readers; what are your fond memories of the last 100 comics? You'll find the comments section below. Better responses may even get turned into a comic.

And with that, I am out. Here's to the next 100 comics.

Nnn-yello. D'you miss me?

I know, I know: I haven't updated in the last...3 weeks? I meant to on Monday...and never actually got around to it. I'd drawn up comic #100 (!) ages before this one, thanks to the amazing power of writer's block, and this comic went through a few different stages before I reached the final story you see here.

EDIT: I've only just realised that little problem with panel 3. Little late to change it I'm afraid...

Over the last two days (straight), I've been enjoying a bit of Xbox Live multiplayer (which sadly comes few and far between). Assassin's Creed Brotherhood's multiplayer is every bit as good as the critics say. I've also been playing the Dead Space 2 demo...which turned out just to be the demo we saw at E3 last year.
Coming this Friday: the comic you've all been waiting for...
